Base Camp/Park City is all growns up. We just signed a lease on our new office and tomorrow is my first day there. That means that today after work I packed up my files, my news clips, my pink magic wand, my purple tie-dye fit ball and my Noah Howell poster (thanks, Tommy C.) and left my desk at Backcountry.com for good.
Yeah. I'll still be there a lot, but it won't be the same.
Sad.
I'll miss my peeps.
When I checked my email tonight, I found a note from my good friend Timmy. It was a little farewell ditty, just for me:
I'm all choked up.

I need to challenge Timmy's choice of song. The emotion I leave alone -- I'm in the same chair I always am at 7:00 in the morning and I was overcome. But, really, given the cosmic convergence of an NKOTB reunion and Marit apparently leaving one office for another, wasn't "Please Don't Go Girl" the better choice?
Why was it such a shock to everyone that these guys were lip synching?
I don't know, Finns. I mean really, it's all about the emotion.
Katie Girl, I hear you. But even lip synching aside, there is SO MUCH wrong with this video. Are the two dudes interchangeable throughout the story, or did she love and leave both of them? Granted, it takes a keen eye to tell the guys apart in the first place, so maybe she was confused too.
I LOVE when the one in the tight jeans and the head band throws his hands up in the air, and on the verge of tears cries out: "I just don't know what I should do!"
That is quality stuff.
DAMN, when I'm laboring on a new canvas in the studio, I often wear lots of jewelry and feathers and a skull headband but no shirt. Fuuuck. I feel like such a cliché.
